Q: Will there be dinner for program attendees?
A: Doors to the museum open at 6:45pm, and while there will be wine, light hors d'oeuvres, and dessert, no dinner will be served. Guests are asked to eat a meal before they arrive.
Q: I bought a general admission ticket. What can I expect?
A: Doors open at 6:45pm for general admission. Guests are invited to tour the museum and enjoy hors d'oeuvres and drnks before finding their seats for the program beginning at 7:30pm. The program will include remarks from the evening's Quilt Maker honorees, live music, and a keynote address from Sonia Manzano - "Maria" on Sesame Street! Children's Center Honors is a benefit fundraiser for Children's Center; guests will be asked to make a personally significant contribution to the work of intervening and preventing child abuse.
Q:What is the invitation-only, pre-event reception and who can attend?
A: The pre-event Sponsor & Honoree reception begins at 6pm at the museum and is open to sponsors and the evening’s honorees only. The reception will be hosted in the museum’s upstairs Atomic Lounge where guests will enjoy substantial fare and drinks. Due to capacity, we are only able to invite event sponsors (just four per table) and the evening’s Golden Lantern and Quilt Maker honorees. Q: I have been invited to the Sponsor & Honoree Reception. What can I expect?
A: Event sponsors and honorees are asked to arrive at 6pm. Guests will be directed to the World of Speed’s upstairs Atomic Lounge where they will enjoy a special presentation, substantial fare, beer, wine, a signature cocktail, and the opportunity to meet the evening’s keynote speaker, Sonia Manzano!
Q: Where should I park?
A: There is ample parking at the World of Speed. Please follow signage to adjacent overflow lots on the south side of the museum if the main parking lot is full.
Q: What attire is requested?
A: We request attire be business casual.
Q: Can I buy tickets at the door?
A: We request all guests to have pre-purchased tickets. However, limited seats will be available at the door. Please keep in mind we have limited assigned seating and thus, guests who buy tickets at the door may not be seated together.
